About

Midori Evans is the founder of Midori Creativity, a creativity-coaching business that helps individuals and businesses manifest their creative visions, and highlights her photographic work at cedarlightimages.com. She is strongly guided by her intuition, photographing through moments of resonance, connection, and wonder. Her creative work explores shadows and reflections, finding light in unexpected places, and photographing from the inside, in both self and vision. A lifelong creative explorer, Midori loves to travel and draws on the inspiration of the natural world in her work. This year she coordinated Meditations on Landscape, a text-imagery exhibit featuring Westport photographers and writers exploring how our home landscape influences our creative process.

I am a self-taught photographer and have been doing landscape photography for thirty years. I lived in Japan for a year when I was sixteen and began with my little Konica camera; this camera went with me throughout Japan, across Europe and on an around-the-world trip before I switched to using a Nikon film camera. I now shoot using a Nikon D-7000.

Across the world...by foot, by car, by train. Seeking out places of beauty, solitude, and peace.
